Grade
Levels: 7
to 9
Beginning
algebra students are challenged, solving linear equations, substituting
variables, grouping like variables, solving systems of equations,
and translating algebra word problems into equations.
Beginning algebra
students undertake three multi-leveled challenges that help them
develop skills in the areas of:
- solving
linear equations
- substituting
variables
- grouping
like variables
- solving
systems of equations
- translating
word problems into algebra equations
- translating
visual situations into algebra equations
Students can use on-screen tools, such as the Notepad, to
collect clues, take notes, and get advice for solving problems.
The Equation Tool lets students try out their math statements
before applying them in the challenges. As students solve problems,
they collect clues, finding their way to The Treasure Room where
the power of their own skills lets them open The Hidden
Treasure of Al-Jabr!
