Thousands of students, teachers and schools are using Algebra World to get great results. It provides a proven and dynamic learning environment that motivates students to succeed.

The major topics covered in Algebra World are: Expressions, Variables, Algebra Notation, Pattern Recognition, Integers, One Variable Equations, Two Step Equations, Ratio, Proportion and Percent, and Geometry. Each topic has a series of detailed lessons designed to teach key mathematical concepts. The lessons are followed by challenges in three skill levels that assess understanding of the subject and mathematical reasoning ability.

Presenting Concepts Has Never Been Easier

MathRealm understands that you are challenged each day to motivate and teach a wide range of students with a wide range of learning needs. You have a very demanding job. Algebra World will give you the tools to make your job easier.

"Algebra World generates excitement and understanding in the classroom. Students who have been afraid of math get involved with this program. It sparks an interest and produces success!"

Joan Slatniske
Our Lady of Mercy School
Potomac, MD

Algebra World In The Classroom

Denise Langley, an educator at Northern Middle School, Accident, MD, uses Algebra World by projecting the lessons, activities and practice in front of her class. She also uses the software on a one-to-one basis with struggling students who need tutoring in math concepts. Math comprehension has improved and test scores have been raised since using the software!

Ms. Langley finds Algebra World to be much more effective than other supplementary math materials she uses with students.

Success in Various Learning Environments

Why do teachers incorporate Algebra World into their classrooms? Algebra World's highly visual and interactive presentations are perfect for classroom demonstrations. The visualization of concepts adds excitement to the learning process. Students today relate more to math ideas that are accompanied by graphics, color and sound.

Not only is Algebra World great for classroom demonstrations, it is also ideal for individual instruction! The eye-catching graphics and sound effects allow students to see and hear what is happening. This helps students to better understand the concepts.

Algebra World In The Classroom

Kathleen Pitzer, an educator at Ringgold High School, Monongahela, PA uses Algebra World on an individual basis to reinforce and teach math concepts for students who are having difficulty in math and are in jeopardy of failing. Ms. Pitzer uses the practice component of the software to assess where students are strong or weak in their understanding of the material. After this assessment, she encourages the student to proceed through the appropriate lessons. Ms. Pitzer finds the software to be very effective in improving student comprehension of math concepts.

"The software is fantastic for struggling students because they don't realize they are learning; they think they are playing on a computer and not reading a textbook. But testing shows that they are learning."

Kathleen Pitzer
Ringgold High School
Monongahela, PA

Turn Passive Listeners into Active Learners

MathRealm's research showed that students are not as responsive to long narrations in software as they are to interactive visuals and audio effects that draw them into the program as active learners, rather than passive listeners.

Hands-on virtual manipulatives with limited text reading and immediate visual feedback will capture your students' attention and help them understand concepts, as well as develop logical reasoning.

"Your software is captivating! My daughter has struggled in math for years and was losing interest. Algebra World has made her excited about math. Her grades have improved dramatically."

Jan Saunders, Parent
Albany, NY

Motivate Your Students to Excel in Introductory Algebra

All students can master introductory algebra concepts. Algebra World gives students the tools to grasp the concepts and builds their motivation by sparking their curiosity.

"The software does an outstanding job of introducing basic algebra concepts. Students loved the illustrations and sound effects, and they enjoyed interacting with the computer-generated manipulatives. The program was intrinsically motivational."

National Council of Teachers of Mathematics
Mathematics Teaching in the Middle School

Algebra World focuses on developing concepts with:

Research-Based Lessons

Our research-based lessons engage students and develop conceptual understanding and problem-solving skills.

Learning Tools

Our learning tools draw students into a concept and encourage exploration.

Interactive Practice Problems

Scored practice problems provide students with immediate feedback. If a student is unable to solve a practice problem, the program shows how to solve it correctly, step-by-step.

Enrichment Activities

Algebra World's enrichment activities expand understanding of basic concepts and stir the imagination.

Algebra World is also Great for Gifted Learners

Linda Nichols, an educator at Kenilworth JHS, Petaluma, CA, uses the enrichment activities in Algebra World on an individual basis to teach math concepts for differentiated learning in her seventh grade AP/Gifted program. She uses the software as a tool to further her students' knowledge in math versus giving them more work in areas where they are overachieving.
